New version, 2.7.0, of WordPress File Upload plugin has just been released.
This is a long waiting, major release that incorporates the new Google Recaptcha version 2. The new Google Recaptcha is much easier to use, as showing below, offering also higher security.
In order to use Google Recaptcha version 2, you need to have a Google account, go to the website of Google Recaptcha, get API keys for your domain and add them to the plugin settings in Dashboard.
A unique feature of WordPress File Upload plugin, is that it gives you an alternative option to use Google Recaptcha version 2 without requiring a Google account! You can enable this “magic” feature by just selecting Google Recaptcha v2 (no account) as your captcha type from the Shortcode Composer. This unique feature may not work in all websites. In that case, you will have to use the normal Google Recaptcha v2 and get API keys from Google Recaptcha website.
For backward compatibility, you can still use the old Google Recaptcha v1 as long as Google supports it.
Users who have purchased the Professional version of the plugin can download the latest one by logging into their Iptanus account, selecting the order and downloading the new file.
Users of the Free version can update to the latest one using the Update feature of the Plugins section of their Dashboard.
Iptanus team is constantly striving to make WordPress File Upload plugin more user friendly and more bug free, so it will continue issuing new releases. It is reminded that users of the Professional version, will have free updates of the plugin for a lifetime!!!
