Keeping consistency with our community, new version 3.9.2 of WordPress File Upload plugin has just been released (though it’s mid of August).
This is an important update as it provides a temporary fix to an issue that appeared some days ago. Some users experience large delays opening the Main page of the plugin in Dashboard. This is related to problems accessing Iptanus Secure Services server. Efforts are being made to find the root cause of the problem and issue a permanent solution. In the meantime, this release contains a temporary fix for users having this problem. The maximum delay for opening the page is adjusted to 10 seconds. Furthermore, an environment variable has been added, Disable Version Check, that enables/disables version check of the plugin. When this variable is set to ‘true’ then no version check will be performed, however there will be no delays when opening Main page of the plugin in Dashboard.
It is noted than another intermediate version, 3.9.1, was released some days ago, including an initial fix for the problem, where version control was completely disabled. Users who have version 3.9.1 cannot detect if a new version is available, so it is recommended that they upgrade to 3.9.2.
Furthermore this update includes Spanish translation of the plugin, kindly provided by Marton.
You can check more details in the Release Notes of the plugin’s support page.
Users who have purchased the Professional version of the plugin can download the latest one by logging into their Iptanus account, selecting the order and downloading the new file. Instructions for installing the new version can be found here.
Users of the Free version can update to the latest one using the Update feature of the Plugins section of their Dashboard.
